System Fire Protection

A network of piping whose purpose is to transport an extinguishing media (usually water), to a fire sprinkler or fire hose. Piping may be filled with pressurized water (wet system), pressurized air (dry system) or empty (deluge system). Upon one of several triggering mechanisms, the system activates and the extinguishing media flows through the pipe to suppress the fire.
