Specialty Item Vibration Control

Any equipment with moving parts, especially motors, create movement and vibration that must be isolated from the piping system.  Vibration isolators consist of a steel frame with either a spring or resilient material which supports the equipment and allows it to move slightly without translating the movement to the pipe system.

Vibration isolators are rated for the weight they can support and must be ordered and installed according to manufacturer’s recommendations.  Equipment often requires isolators with different ratings at various locations due to an uneven distribution of weight.  It is important that isolators are installed accordingly.
